Job Summary
As a Member Success Advocate (a.k.a. MSR), you’ll be the front-line ambassador of our organization. You’ll build lasting relationships with members while assisting them with a wide range of financial services. You’ll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where member satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. If you’re passionate about people, eager to contribute to a community-focused institution, and excited about the opportunity to grow in the financial services industry, this role might be for you.
This position involves assisting members with a variety of financial services, including loan origination and processing, all account related needs (opening, maintenance, etc.) and financial transactions.
This position offers an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others navigate their financial journeys while contributing positively to our organization’s success.
 
Responsibilities
Member Engagement and Financial Guidance
  • Build trust and rapport with members, understanding their unique financial needs and goals.
  • Actively listen to members’ concerns and provide solutions.
  • Educate members about our products and services (e.g., savings accounts, loans, mortgages, credit cards) and recommend products that align with their financial goals.
  • Resolve issues related to accounts, services, or transactions promptly, ensuring a positive member experience.
  • Engage in sales activities, including upselling relevant products and services that meet member needs.

  • Work closely with other branch staff to achieve branch goals and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve member satisfaction.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Keep Us and Our Members Safe!
  • Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions and identifying suspicious activities.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and security guidelines related to member transactions and account management
Community Involvement
  • Participate in outreach programs to promote financial literacy and represent the credit union’s values (this may be outside the normal business hours).

Requirements
Must-Have
  • Passion for helping others achieve financial success.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Minimum of 2-year experience in customer service, banking, or retail.
  • Proven relationship management skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with members.
  • Sales experience, particularly in upselling financial products or services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a member-centric approach are essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
  • Experience in loan origination or processing is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
